Catherine and I had decided to get away. Four weeks of unrelenting rains in Belgium had caused the general mood to be at a low point and it was time for some sun.
Originally we had planned to go to Munich, but the weather forecast looked pretty bad for southern Germany, and we decided to just simply drive south.
